Role
This was my first project as Lead Director, and its success was a result of the collaborative efforts of our entire team. This teamwork allowed us all to explore various roles. After discussing how we wanted to present our pieces, I created two mood boards that captured our vision. Once we settled on our direction, it was time to execute our plan. During the process, Katya and I alternated between modeling and photographing. After capturing all the necessary images, Katya and I collaborated on editing the final pieces, using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. Once the images were polished to our satisfaction, I worked with Adobe Illustrator to design the magazine layout. I took the lead on this aspect since I had prior experience with Illustrator from my journalism class in high school. Finally, we wrote accompanying text to enhance our images and convey our message more effectively. I would like to shout-out to our beautiful models Zahier and Katelyn for their creative and fun posing that really brought the designs to life. Another shoutout to the Fashions students who designed the wonderful, and amazing garments! Lastly, a huge shout-out to Katya for helping on everything! Truly could not have done this with out such an amazing team.
For this project, we collaborated with emerging fashion students who upcycled and repurposed donated Emilio Pucci fabric. Once the students finalized their designs, we had the chance to showcase their talent. We chose a playful theme to reflect Pucci's vibrant patterns and style. Along the way, we encountered some challenges that required us to think on our feet, but these obstacles helped us develop valuable skills and patience. Overall, it was a rewarding collaborative experience, and I look forward to participating in more projects like this in the future.
